Vox Heritage Collection AC30H2
Your look for the Holy Grail of VOX tone stops here. To mark the 50th Anniversary of VOX guitar amplifiers, we're happy to bring in the newest in the fresh Heritage Collection crop of hand-wired guitar amplifiers – the AC30H2. Besides just a distinctive reissue where a vintage amp is dusted away and imitated, this amplifier, like the others in the Heritage Collection, carries you by the halcyon age of VOX tone, blending the esteemed EF86 preamp channel of 1958 with the 1963 Top Boost channel altogether in one amplifier. Add together a few New tone defining control enhancements and the final result is maybe the finest VOX amplifier in the company's fifty year chronicle.
Channel 1 is the EF86 Preamp channel, and boasts 2 inputs cabled in the traditional style allowing a 6dB gain deviation between them. A two-position BASS SHIFT switch is included, on position 1 sounded to the master vintage-correct bass reaction and position 2 voiced to tighten up the bass reaction and cut down whatever murkiness on high volume practice. The three-position BRILLIANCE SWITCH allows for categoric reaction whilst in the OFF placement. Position 1 is afresh position sounded similar the former "AC30 Treble" amps, although position 2 is the master brilliance electric circuit, which plays a spectacular bass cut. The EF86 Mode switch re-configures the EF86 valve from Pentode mode to Triode mode. Triode mode will afford a less gain tone with higher clearance. Pentode mode is the celebrated master mode and gets a real sweet high gain tone on lower headway.
Channel 2 is the Top Boost Preamp channel. Like Channel 1, this channel includes 2 inputs cabled with a 6dB gain deviation between them. The Treble and Bass controls are from the 1963 Top Boost circuit and are exceedingly interactional. Really modest alterations of these controls could afford spectacular alterations in tone colour. And genuine to VOX build is the Top Cut control, which dilutes richly from either channel end as it is turned up.
